Description
Chainmail pliers and nippers – your hands will love them. Two compact and elegant pliers for holding and bending plus one nipper for cutting rings. One set to rule all rings.
Why these?
Pliers are the shepherds of rings. And these are the exact tools that we use in our chainmail workshop. When working on chainmail so persistently, we enjoy reliable tools. We just love their bend nose. It gives you a good angle to access rings in the mesh. The tips are slim and pointy enough to grab even the tiniest of rings. And the handle is awesome because it’s oversize and rests comfy in your hands for hours and hours.
How to use them?
We use the two pairs of pliers to open and close riveted rings. With their slim nose, they also serve excellently to hold a riveted ring’s overlap together while setting the rivet. And furthermore, these pliers just work great with inserting and removing rings from a chainmail mesh. The nippers are meant for cutting rings and wire. They come in handy when you want to get rid of broken rings in a dense mesh. Their benefit lies in their small size. You really want that tiny and pointy cutting jaw to get access to single rings.
What rings fit?
If you are working with rings of 6mm inner diameter or smaller, this set of chainmail pliers is a must. Yet we even use them for 8mm rings as well. We grab sturdier rings with the bend curve of the pliers instead of the tip.
